Al-Marsad newspaper: Nawaf Al-Abed, who is back in the national team, said that he decided to leave Al-Hilal and move to Al-Shabab following the call of French coach Herve Renard.

Al-Abed explained, during the program “In the Goal”, that he lived a difficult period in which he cried and hit the television following undergoing surgery and being away from the stadiums.

He continued, “The call of coach Herve Renard made me leave Al Hilal and move to Al Shabab in search of playing opportunities. The recent AFC Champions League came and opened the doors for me to return to the international list following an absence.”

He pointed out, “Renard told me in a call, “He forced me to join you in the national team once more.”

He continued, “I lived a very difficult period following the surgery, cried a lot and hit the TV, and when I found out that I was joining the national team once more, I felt that I was living the happiest days of my life.”
