Make no mistake, LaMelo is the best of the three Ball brothers. And the only one who will play regularly this season in the NBA. He’s flashy, he tries, he loses the ball a lot, but despite that, he’s very consistent. Only four games with less than 10 points last season, for 9 perfs at more than 30. Assist level, it’s heavy too: half the time, he gives eight balls to his attacking friends. Solid that will almost guarantee you a good TTFL score. If you want to bet on a Hornet, think LaMelo. Behind, Terry Rozier will be able to do the trick. He’s less consistent than LaMelo but he’s solid too, scoring 20 or more half the time. Not a safe bet, but it can be tried, and even walk on a stroke of madness.
#The dreaded carrots
Good there, we have a big core drill all found. Gordon Hayward, on paper it makes you want. His best TTFL performance last season? 69 points against Spurs just before Christmas. Well, when you’re 79% shooting and 83% 3-point, it goes up quickly. Yes, but now, that happens once and it’s over. Behind, there are 14 games within 10 points, and even a good big zero point in 21 minutes of play against Miami. Gordon may have the third best average on his team, but we can’t count on him.
