Overseas immigration cases hit a record high! The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today that there were 126 new confirmed cases in China, including 6 local cases and 120 imported cases. Among the imported cases, 64 were tested positive for flight landing. Among the local cases, 3 people attended a wedding banquet with the Chiayi business personnel who had been diagnosed yesterday. The Ct value was between 13 and 21. Nearly 200 people who attended the wedding banquet have Quarantined, the remaining 3 local cases are 2 national airline clearance personnel and 1 old case, and the source of infection is under investigation. Among the confirmed cases, there were no new deaths.
Spokesman Zhuang Renxiang said that the 6 new local cases today are 2 males and 4 females. The 6 people are in their 20s and 70s, including 3 in Taoyuan, 2 in Chiayi County, and 1 in Chiayi City. In Taoyuan 3 cases, cases 21913 and 21914 were both women in their 20s. They were cabin cleaners of the national airline. They were responsible for the sorting and cleaning of the cabin. The Ct value is 26, the source of cluster infection needs to be clarified, and sequencing will be carried out next.
Zhuang Renxiang said that the other case was a woman in her 40s who had never been vaccinated (case 21915). She went to the doctor for other diseases on the 16th. The PCR was positive, the Ct value was 34, and the subsequent tests were negative. All 6 family members were negative. The serum N antibody was negative and the S antibody was positive. It was judged as an old case and had no impact on the community.
As for the three people (cases 21916-21918) from Chiayi County and the city, they were contacts of business personnel who were diagnosed yesterday. They attended a wedding banquet together on the 13th. The Ct values were 13, 14, and 21. The remaining 196 people who participated in the wedding banquet are listed as home isolation and will be arranged for inspection.
As for today’s new overseas immigration cases, a total of 120 cases have hit a record high, with 61 males and 59 females ranging in age from their 10s to their 70s. Zhuang Renxiang explained that there are many cases of immigration from overseas today. The reason is that those who have entered the 10-day quarantine and those who have been quarantined for 14 days are released from quarantine together, which means that there are twice as many people for inspections. It is expected that there will be more cases of overseas immigration in the past few days.
Today’s imported cases are from Myanmar (26 cases), Indonesia (14 cases), Vietnam (12 cases), the United States (8 cases), Hong Kong (5 cases), the Philippines (4 cases), Thailand and the Czech Republic (3 cases each) , Australia, Austria, Singapore and South Korea (2 each), Dominican Republic, India, France, Poland, Spain, Denmark, Malaysia, Netherlands, Saint Christopher and Nevis, Japan and Brazil (1 each ), and another 26 cases are under investigation.
Up to now, a total of 21,784 confirmed cases, 134 empty cases and 853 deaths have been recorded in China. There are 6 transmission chains that have yet to be clarified for the source of infection that has not yet expired, namely Midi Kindergarten, Shuangbei Family and Friends Gathering, Wufenpu store clerk, business personnel, as well as today’s cabin cleaning personnel and old cases.
