48 hours after his big fall during the Lake Louise super-G, Mauro Caviezel gave his news on social networks. The Grison published a photo of his swollen face, in particular the nose.
“It wasn’t the comeback I was hoping for…” he wrote in the caption. The winner of the super-G globe in the 2019/20 season thanked his fans for the healing wishes sent to him. He also made a promise: “I will become beautiful again!”
Caviezel (34) had been off the circuit for almost two years due to a serious fall at the start of 2021. After that suffered on Sunday, he was repatriated to Switzerland for additional examinations. The duration of his unavailability is not yet known.
