14 season, 204 matches, 11 playoff matches, 8 finals, 5 wins and so goes Ambati Rayudu’s IPL tournament. Rayudu has also clarified in the tweet that there is no more Uturn.

He started his IPL career in 2010 with Mumbai Indians. Was a part of CSK team since 2018. Raidu has managed to win two titles with Chennai. It was during his time with CSK that Rayudu came to be known as a power-hitter. He scored at a strike rate of 149.75 in his debut season with CSK as CSK lifted the title in 2018. It turned out to be Rayudu’s best season as he scored 602 runs in 16 matches for the team.

Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement in 2022, shocking the Indian cricket fans. Rayudu announced his retirement on Twitter saying that this was his last IPL season and that he got to work with two great teams in his 13-year career. But that tweet was deleted within minutes.

Meanwhile, IPL 16th season champions will be known today. Defending champions Gujarat Titans will take on four-time champions Chennai Super Kings. The match will be played at Gujarat’s home ground, Narendra Modi Stadium.

Everyone is waiting to see if Dhoni will end his IPL career with today’s match. Dhoni’s effort can bring Chennai along with Mumbai Indians’ record as the team that has won the most titles with a win. On the other hand, Pandya and his team, who are aiming for a second straight title, are sure to pose a tough challenge to Chennai. After Mumbai and Chennai, Gujarat holds the record of being the team to play two consecutive finals.

The opening match of IPL 16 season and the final match between Gujarat and Chennai is purely coincidental. Gujarat will have the benefit of reaching the final in front of their home crowd. However, more Dhoni fans than home fans will flock to the Narendra Modi Stadium. Because in Chennai’s home matches and away matches, the stadiums were full of Chennai fans. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the reason. The captains of other teams had also said this publicly. If Chennai lost their footing in front of Gujarat in the first match, Chennai made up for it in the first qualifier. Now the situation is that anything can happen when both the teams are fighting for the final battle.
