AMF files 27 charges against bogus broker

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has instituted criminal proceedings against a bogus broker who is facing 27 charges.

According to the investigation conducted by the Autorité, Joël Centeno would have asked investors to entrust him with sums of money to make investments subject to the application of the Securities Act, without being registered in any capacity whatsoever with the Authority.

In return for these investments, the investors would have acquired shares in companies linked to Mr. Centeno.
