At the morning conference National Palace, Lopez Obrador stated that he esteems Cardenas Solorzanobut that we are living in Mexico a moment of definitions, so “there is nowhere to be made.
In politics yes, if he assumes a position of this type”, he launched an express question of whether Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas was his adversary.
“I appreciate it very much, I respect it, I consider it a precursor of this movement, but we are living a moment of definitions, and this width is very narrow, there is nowhere to go. It is being with the people or with the oligarchy, there is no more, there is no golden mean, ”he pointed out.
“It is a transformation and we are moving forward, fortunately the people are supporting it, but the so-called political class, the groups of vested interests, those who felt they were the owners of the country, are upset, and they throw themselves very strongly against us, but we have a protective shield, which is the people of Mexico, the majority of Mexicans,” he said.
This Monday was presented the Mexicolectivo project, a political project that brings together recognized Mexican personalities that seeks to launch a series of alternative proposals for the 2024 elections.
Its members include former presidential candidates Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas and Francisco Labastida Ochoa; the ex-rector of the UNAM, jose narro; the senator Patricia Marketamong other political personalities of the country
With the premise of putting an end to “one voice” in the country, in reference to the current president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and his National Regeneration Movement party (Morena), politicians, academics, intellectuals and personalities -some previously close to various parties- came together in this new proposal.
López Obrador explained that the members of Mexicolectivo is it so against the Fourth Transformation of the country and its Governmentin addition to qualifying them as a “moderate brim” of conservative bloc.
