An expert reveals the list of Arab countries that may witness a “food disaster” due to the war crisis in Ukraine

Al-Marsad newspaper: Eugenio Dacrema, an expert at the World Food Program, revealed the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war on a number of countries, especially in North Africa and some Asian countries.

The expert stressed that a food disaster may occur in countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan, Yemen, and other Asian countries, which will pay the consequences of this war.

The food expert explained that the increase in grain prices is caused by increased global demand against the background of reduced supply due to lower yields and lower Russian exports.

And he added, “The rise in fertilizer prices will lead to a reduction in their use and, as a consequence, a lower yield, which will lead to a “decreased supply in the coming months.”
