Another British MP suspended for misconduct

Peter Bone, formerly of the Conservatives and most recently an independent, is said to have bullied and sexually harassed an employee. The 71-year-old has denied the allegations. Bone will now be completely suspended for six weeks, the British news agency PA reported on Wednesday evening. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak could face another by-election in a constituency.

Bone is said to have bullied an employee on several occasions in 2012 and 2013. He is also said to have exposed himself in front of the person during a business trip in a hotel, as PA reported. Bone rejected the allegations as untrue.

Just this summer, Conservative MP Chris Pincher was expelled from parliament for eight weeks because he groped two men while drunk. Pincher then announced his resignation. The Tories recently suffered crushing defeats in two by-elections to the British Parliament.
