Anthony Pettis defeated Roy Jones Jr.

The evening of professional boxing, organized by the promotional company of the famous UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal, has just ended in Milwaukee (Wisconsin, USA), where the main event of the show was an 8-round fight in the first heavyweight division between the legendary 54-year-old ring veteran Roy Jones Jr. and 36- summer former UFC champion Anthony Pettis, who made his debut in boxing.

The first half of the fight was for Pettis. He constantly went forward bringing attacks to the target, while Roy constantly retreated and hung on the ropes trying to demonstrate defensive skills. After the equator of the fight, Jones began to level the course of the fight, and at the end of the seventh and eighth rounds, the fighters rolled a small exchange of blows in the center of the ring, which caused delight among the public.

In the end, the fight lasted all the allotted eight rounds and, as a result, the victory was given to Pettis by a majority of the judges’ votes: 76-76, 77-75 and 78-74
