What happens at the Technology Development Group is kept confidential, but Apple would recruit qualified personnel in AI to improve, in particular, Siri.
To say that Siri is one of the worst performing voice assistants out there is an understatement. The emergence of ChatGPT, Bing AI and other AI-powered conversational bots has also made Apple’s assistant a little more ridiculous, the company now wishing to roll up its sleeves to considerably improve its performance in terms of artificial intelligence.
Incidentally, Apple released on its website job offers for the Technology Development Group (TDG), its department linked to the development of new technologies. Everything that happens there remains extremely confidential, and only a restricted circle of people have access to it.
Thus, the TDG would be looking for experts in artificial intelligence to join this team. What is in development there is therefore being kept secret for the time being, but there is no doubt that an improvement to Siri is in the program or that a brand new virtual assistant is in development.
