Apple tests rapid security updates on macOS Ventura

Apple is testing its new system of rapid security updates on macOS, or more precisely on the beta version of macOS 13.2 released this week from the developers. Last night, participants in Apple’s beta program were able to discover the “macOS Security Response 13.2 (a)”, which allows you to update the system without having to download a full version: the download is thus much lighter than ‘usually.

Apple had already carried out a test of this type on iOS 16.2 last month. Again, the download weighed a hundred megabytes, against several gigabytes for a classic update. If the tests are conclusive, we should find this type of update lighter and faster to install for the general public in the future.
