The Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) reported that Arely Gómez González She is the new Special Performance Auditor of the supervisory body.
The former attorney of the Republic and former secretary of the Public Service was presented at the new position by the senior auditor, David Colmenares.
Gómez will now occupy the place he left Agustín Raphael Casewho was fired on Tuesday by Colmenares Páramo.
Upon announcing his dismissal, Raphael Case accused the senior auditor of wanting to “play politics” and denounced that within the ASF audits are carried out as usual or inspections are suppressed if they are uncomfortable.
“If a simple evaluation makes an official uncomfortable, it disappears. Let alone the integration of the annual audit program, which has become a kind of self-censorship, since we are not allowed to incorporate issues of national relevance,” Caso accused in his letter.
He also stated that there is “interference in the approaches, scope and results, which are subject to a review that is not technical, and that serves the purpose of expelling any words and findings that are not politically functional in the short term.”

Arely Gomez was presented as new Special Performance Auditor before the rest of the special auditors and heads of areas of the ASF.
In a statement, the supervisory body reported that “this appointment is made with the purpose of continuing to strengthen the work of the ASF.”

“She has extensive experience within the public sector, in which she served as Secretary of Study and Accounts in the Fiscal Court of the Federation, she carried out a large part of her professional career within the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, where She held the positions of Presentation Coordinator in the Second Chamber, General Secretary of the Presidency and Senior Officer,” highlighted the ASF.
In 2007 she was appointed head of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Attention of Electoral Crimes (Fepade), a position she held until 2010.
She was a senator in the period of 2012 a 2018but requested a license to occupy the Legal and International Affairs Deputy Attorney General’s Office and was later ratified as Attorney General of the Republic from March 1, 2015 to October 26, 2016.
From October 27, 2016 to November 30, 2018, she held the position of Secretary of Public Administration.
On February 1, 2019, she was appointed Head of the Comptroller’s Office of the Federal Judiciary Council, a position she held until September 30, 2023.
