Social Media Tribute From Grande

Grande shared a statement on Instagram addressing the loss of her long-time pet. She wrote, “sweetest, most amazing and most beautiful coco … i am so proud of you. thank you for your love, and for blessing this planet with your physical presence for over seventeen wonderful years.”

She continued in the same post, “you make everywhere you go a more beautiful place. i will miss you every day and hold you in my heart always. i love you so, sweet girl.”

Long-Standing Rescue Advocacy

The singer has maintained a public stance on animal rescue for years. In 2015, Grande participated in an awareness campaign highlighting shelter statistics.

At the time, Grande stated, “I got involved with dog rescues by simply loving animals. Dogs are the most harmless, sweetest babes in the world. They show nothing but unconditional love, so they deserve that in return.”

She added regarding shelter populations, “According to the ASPCA, 1.2 million dogs and 1.4 million cats are euthanized every year, and 80 percent of them are healthy! The thought of a sweet, loving angel going without a home or being killed simply because there’s no one who will come and claim him is heartbreaking.”
