University of Arkansas softball coach Courtney Deifel has released a 2027 schedule stacked with high-stakes matchups, highlighted by 13 teams that advanced to the 2026 NCAA Tournament, arkansasrazorbacks.com reported. The demanding slate features 51 regular-season games, with 28 contests hosted at Bogle Park.
Building a Contender Through Heavy Competition
The 2026 Razorbacks posted a historic 47-13 campaign, reaching the Women’s College World Series for the first time in program history. Their 47 victories marked the second-most in program lore. Deifel’s upcoming roster faces a schedule designed to test that momentum immediately.
The 26 opponents on the 2027 schedule combined for an 898-578-2 record (.608) last season. Beyond the 13 NCAA Tournament teams, the slate includes five Super Regional participants, four Women’s College World Series participants, and defending national champion Texas.
Opening Months and Early Road Tests
Arkansas opens the 2027 campaign in Lafayette, La., at the Louisiana Classic from Feb. 11-13. The Razorbacks open against McNeese in a doubleheader on Thursday, Feb. 11, followed by games against tournament host Louisiana and Louisiana Tech before concluding against Louisiana on Saturday. Game times for the Louisiana Classic remain undetermined.
Following the trip to the Bayou State, the squad heads west for five games split between Stanford and Cal during the California Classic. The West Coast swing opens against Stanford on Thursday, Feb. 18, in Palo Alto, Calif. Arkansas then travels to Berkeley to face Ohio State and UCLA on Friday, Feb. 19, meets Cal on Saturday, Feb. 20, and finishes against Nebraska on Sunday, Feb. 21, back in Palo Alto.
Heavy Bogle Park Homestands and SEC Tests
The Razorbacks return to Fayetteville for their home opener at the Razorback Invitational on Feb. 25-28, kicking off a 13-game homestand. South Dakota State visits on Thursday, Feb. 25, followed by Purdue and Wichita State on Friday, Feb. 26, another matchup with Purdue on Saturday, and closing against Miami of Ohio and Wichita State on Sunday.
The 13-game home stretch continues with the Wooo Pig Classic from March 4-7, featuring Kansas, Louisiana Tech, Marist, and South Dakota. Missouri State visits for a midweek game on Tuesday, March 9.
SEC play opens on the road against South Carolina from March 12-14. The home conference slate begins when Ole Miss visits Bogle Park from March 19-21. Later in the spring, Texas travels to Fayetteville from April 2-4 for the program’s first league meeting in Fayetteville.
Neutral-Site Tournament Shift in May
For the first time since 2003, the SEC Tournament will be hosted at a neutral site. All 15 conference programs will travel to Madison, Ala., for the 2027 SEC Tournament from May 11-15 at Toyota Field, home of the Double-A Rocket City Trash Pandas.
