The group escaped using public roads, specifically the routes P-32, P-334, P-418 y P-510in a route that they described as “already known” in terms of carrying out attacks.
Timeline of the attack
The violent tour that involved at least 15 armed individuals began at 10:03 a.m. on route P-32, where they stopped a truck from the Valdés transport company, which they set on fire after forcing its driver to get off and leave. the place.
Later, they fired several shots at a Chevrolet Dimax truck belonging to the Quiñenco forestry company, which was stolen and abandoned after going off the road while trying to flee in it.
Later they set fire to a backhoe of the Serfocom company and, about 300 meters from it, they burned another Valdés transport truck. In the same section of the road, they stole two trucks: a red Nissan NP300 belonging to the Reñico forestry company, and a white Chevrolet Dimax belonging to Forestry personnel who were passing through the area.
Upon reaching route P-510, the antisocials forced the drivers of three trucks transporting wood to travel to Caramávida, using these vehicles as a protection barrier against the possible arrival of the Carabineros or the Navy, instructing the drivers to to cross trucks on the road if they saw uniformed personnel arriving.
After that, they left via routes P-512 and P-60R, to reach a private compound usually used to hide wood stolen from different forest estates.
