In the Turkish city of Şanlıurfa, a nurse named Muhammad Shah was physically assaulted at the Balıkılıgül Governmental Hospital. The incident occurred when the nurse administered an injection to a woman who felt unwell at home and was taken to the hospital’s emergency department.
While the woman’s husband, Qadir Fatih, was completing her administrative procedures, he discovered that the nurse who administered the injection to his wife was a man. This prompted him to express his anger, saying: “There are nurses in the hospital, so why would a male nurse give an injection to my wife?” Without hesitation, he punched the nurse in the face.
As a result of the assault, nurse Muhammad Shah fell to the ground and suffered a broken nose. After this incident, hospital staff responded quickly and notified the security forces
The injured nurse was transferred to treatment immediately, while the assailant, Kadir Fatih, was arrested. The assault incident was also recorded on surveillance cameras inside the hospital, and an investigation into the incident was launched.
