At least 22 Palestinians were killed and many others were injured by the Israeli airstrikes of Saturday at Gaza Stripaccording to the security services of the Palestinian enclave.
Palestinian officials told Xinhua news agency that Israeli warplanes had hit a house in Nuseirat camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip, killing nine Palestinians – including four children – and injuring about 30 others.
In another Israeli airstrike, six Palestinians were killed – including four children – and eight others were injured when a house in the southern part of the enclave was bombed, hospital sources said.
Israeli jets also hit a house in northern outskirts of Rafawhere seven Palestinians were killed and several injured were transported to a local hospital.
A spokesman for the Israeli army said in a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that warplanes struck at least 25 locations in the Gaza Strip in the last hours, targeting military facilities, weapons storage areas and underground tunnels. It also claimed that a site from which rockets were often fired at the Israeli city of Ashdod and a car carrying eight Hamas fighters were shelled.
Earlier, the health ministry in the Hamas-controlled Palestinian enclave announced that since October 7, at least 34,388 Palestinians have been killed and 77,437 wounded by Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip.
