A new arson attack in the Region of La Araucanía left at least seven trucks burned in a forestry operation in the Teodoro Schmidt district.
According to the first information, a group of armed hooded subjects arrived this afternoon to the Spain backgroundwhere the Forestal Mininco company operates, and threatened workers before setting machinery on fire.
Carabineros carry out an operation in the place to clarify the facts.

The The authorship of the attack was attributed by the Mapuche Territorial Resistance Lavkenche Leftraru, an organ of the Arauco Malleco Coordinatorwhose leader, Héctor Llaitul, this week called for “organizing armed resistance for the autonomy of the territory and autonomy for the Mapuche nation,” at a time when the government is preparing to propose an “intermediate constitutional state” for the southern macrozone.
The regional presidential delegate, Raúl Allarddismissed what happened as an “arson attack” and stated that “as a government we reject this type of violent acts that have no justification in a democratic state of law“.
He pointed out that, once there is more information, he will analyze exercising “corresponding legal actions.”
No injured people have been reported.
