Attacks on homeless people in Vienna: EUR 10,000 reward for information

After three knife attacks on homeless people, a reward of 10,000 euros was offered, the police announced on Thursday. According to the Vienna State Police Directorate, the amount is provided by the “Association of Friends of the Vienna Police”.

Most recently, on the night of August 9th, there was a knife attack on a 55-year-old in Vienna-Josefsstadt. The man succumbed to his injuries last Sunday. On July 12, a 56-year-old man was found stabbed to death on a park bench at Handelskai in Vienna-Brigittenau, and more than a week later a 51-year-old woman in Leopoldstadt was seriously injured by stabs and cuts. However, the woman survived.

Caritas distributes whistles
