On the occasion of the celebration of the 62th anniversary of independence on August 13, 2022, President Faustin Archange Touadéra paid tribute to the very first President Barthélemy Bonganda.
On August 13, 2022, the RCA celebrated its 62th anniversary of accession to independence. On this occasion, the number 1 of the country expressed a thought for the men and women who have sacrificed themselves so that the country can live in freedom. ” Through this commemoration, we pay a just tribute to the Founding Father of the Republic, the late President Barthélemy Boganda, as well as to all the martyrs and heroes of the freedom of our Nation.. “said Faustin Archange Touadéra.

He also remembers all the patriots and predecessors. ” I also like to pay tribute to all our predecessors who knew how, by their exceptional qualities and their patriotism, to keep the flame of freedom firm and to make the Central African Nation esteemed and respected. Their courage, their heroism, their patriotism and their immense sacrifices must inspire and stimulate us. The Head of State also congratulates the officers, non-commissioned officers, enlisted men of the defense and security forces, for their patriotism and their sense of supreme sacrifice which made it possible to restore the authority of the State on the territory and to guarantee the sovereignty of the country.
