The airline Avianca is increasing the prices of air tickets, justifying itself in the increase in gasoline prices. The ‘inexpensive’ seats on Avianca international flights are a disaster.

The journalist Diana Saray denounced the abuse of Avianca’s prices for national routes, in this case a flight between Bogotá and Bucaramanga had a cost of $975,650 COP.
Despite quoting on the cheapest route (XS) that included 1 personal item, prices were extremely expensive, even the ‘light’ route (S) was priced at $1,025,875 COP.
Avianca justified such high rates by gasoline prices and other external “issues.”
“We tell you that the price of fuel has doubled and although we are looking for the best prices so that more people fly, we depend on other issues”Avianca stated.

Another solution provided by the airline was the search for new tickets for routes on other dates.
Avianca showed him a quote for a flight 3 weeks later at $219,000 pesos.
