At the end of the last hearing of the trial for the death of Fernando Báez Sosa, Fernando Burlando, the lawyer for the victim’s family, addressed the press present in Dolores. He rescued the achievement of the prosecution by reaching the confession of Blas Cinalli, one of the defendants, who exposed his participation in the crime and questioned the defense experts who testified.
Regarding this, Burlando expressed: “Blas Cinalli stood at the scene centimeters from Fernando, in what he calls a fight, although it was not. It was a great achievement and intelligence of Dr. Juan Ávila. We are very happy”.
“He was located less than 20 centimeters away, at the crime scene, at the place of the killing,” he added.
Along these lines, the lawyer attacked the defendants, who at the hearing showed videos of Burlando aggressively insulting. Regarding this, he referred to them as “Eight people who hit one are cowards.”
Then he rushed at Blas Cinalli: “Cinalli you are a coward, I did not qualify you, I only described what you did.”
About the insulting video, he explained: “It motivates me a lot. I am proud that the defense put me in that place, but I am nothing in this story.
Regarding the statements of the experts that the defense imposed and questioned the autopsy, Burlando opined that “the experts came as Favaloro and left as Pinion Fijo, they were stunned” since they did not know what to answer. He emphasized one of them and said that “Fenoglio was the most stunned.”
Regarding the trial that occurred 3 years after Fernando’s death, Burlando assured: “The first thing I have to highlight is the work of the prosecutors, 2 officials who put their claws, will, resigning hours to their family, did a very serious job . The court also handled very well the debate which was intense. The last thing is missing, the allegations and for the court to consider the evidence, which is what will give us the result we expect.
“I have no doubt that if these people are on the street, they kill again. Their gestural way, this emotional illiteracy that they show is worrying. What happened, we know why it happened. Undoubtedly the house has to do with it ”she concluded emphatically.
