Bahrain Minister of Labor congratulates RP Group

Manama – The Bahraini Labor Minister has appreciated the labor-friendly measures taken by expatriate Malayali businessman Ravi Pillai’s RP Group. Minister of Labor Jameel bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan said that RP Group has provided excellent employment opportunities and a worker-friendly environment in Bahrain.

He was responding after visiting RP Group companies and labor camps as part of Bahrain National Day celebrations. Bahrain’s largest refinery, BAPCO, is being undertaken by companies such as NSH and Gulf Asia under the RP Group. AP Group Chairman Ravi Pillai received the Bahraini Labor Minister who reached the offices of these companies. Then the labor minister reached the labor camp and spoke to the local workers. He inquired about the benefits provided by the company and their living conditions.

He expressed happiness and gratitude for the steps taken by the RP Group to provide employment to the locals and provide better living conditions for them. He returned after eating with the workers. More than 15,000 people, including engineers, managers and general workers, are employed by the RP Group at the BAPCO refinery site. More than 800 of them are locals.

RP Group has been the largest employer of local people in Bahrain for the past two to three years. Ahmed Al Haiqi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor of Bahrain, Hafed Al Khasab, Deputy Chief Executive of BAPCO Company, Alfonso DeMario, Executive Project Director of TTS Joint Venture and others also accompanied the Minister.
