In December of last year, Larian Studios confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 would officially launch on Xbox and PS5 on August 31st, but this week, the developer revealed some changes.
While the PC version was brought forward by a few days, the PS5 version had to be delayed by a few days, but it’s nothing too dramatic.

The studio explains that the delay on PS5 is explained, as the game “is aiming at 60 FPS and we are very close to reaching the goal, but we need a little more time. We do not want to compromise on quality and we feel that it would be a shame to drop at 30 FPS or make other cuts to meet an arbitrary deadline.”
To complete, the announcement also came with an update on the Xbox Series versions. Previously, the studio revealed that there is no exclusivity agreement to release it only on PlayStation, being a matter of difficulties with Microsoft’s hardware.

Baldur’s Gate 3: New video confirms release in 2023
A new video from developer Larian Studios, released as part of the D&D Direct event last Thursday (21), confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will indeed be released in 2023.
