A lot of trolls are filling up on social media mocking Bangladesh’s decision to review the ball without even reaching Taylor’s pad. Most call it the worst review in the history of cricket. Former India captain Dinesh Karthik tweeted with a sarcastic question as to whether the bat was a wicket before the leg before the wicket.
Despite failing to get a review in the match, Bangladesh dominated the match. With just one day left in the match, New Zealand had a 17 – run lead in the second innings. At the end of the fourth day, New Zealand were 147 for five. If the Kiwis are eliminated on the fifth day, Bangladesh can win the match. Bangladesh, who have lost all their Test matches in New Zealand so far, can still make history if they draw this match.
Meanwhile, world Test champions New Zealand are trying to avoid a coup. Their only option is to bat for the maximum number of sessions on the fifth day and build a defensive line against Bangladesh to level the score.
