Kylian Mbappe has apparently made a decision about his future: the Paris St. Germain star striker will probably not exercise the unilateral option to extend his current contract until 2025.

The French L’Equipe first reported on this on Monday evening. Accordingly, superstar Mbappe officially informed the bosses of Paris Saint-Germain in a letter received on Monday afternoon that he would not take the option for another year – namely until 2025 – in his contract, which was valid until 2024. The clause would theoretically have to be drawn before July 31, but the 24-year-old seems to have made up his mind.

Those responsible at PSG are said to have been surprised by Mbappe’s letter and reacted with incomprehension. It is quite possible that the French capital club will try to sell Mbappe for a fee this summer.
