The head of Bashkortostan today addressed his annual Address to the State Assembly of the republic. Radiy Khabirov gave important instructions to the Government and the deputy corps of the region. And, in fact, he outlined the main vectors of development of the republic for the coming year. More about them – Gulshat Valeeva.
In the meeting hall of the Bashkir parliament, a minute of silence was observed in honor of the blessed memory of the fallen soldiers. They gave their lives for their Motherland and their names will remain in our hearts, the Head of the Republic emphasized. Radiy Khabirov devoted the first part of his speech to the issues of supporting participants in a special military operation and members of their families.
During his annual Address to the Bashkir Parliament, Radiy Khabirov declared 2024 the Year of Care for People with Disabilities.
Much attention was paid to the social sphere of life in the region. In the past year, the republican authorities have worked to update the healthcare system, making it more accessible, high-tech, and modern. And this direction will remain on the priority list.
In 2023, the republic set two “social records” at once: the average life expectancy in the region reached 73 years for the first time in history, and the unemployment rate, on the contrary, fell to a record two percent.
In the past year, the republic set a record in financing the construction and repair of roads. Thanks to this, for example, on the largest project – the Eastern exit from Ufa – traffic will be launched within 2 months.
Rady Khabirov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan:
“The P-240 highway from Sterlitamak to Zirgan will be expanded to four lanes, work will begin in the spring. The construction of the Birsk-Tastuba-Satka highway is being completed. The section of the M-12 highway will appear in a year, then within two years we will restore the nearby roads damaged during construction, this issue has been agreed upon with the federal government.”
In the past year, the republic launched a “fouling roads” program. This is a spot repair where there are many complaints from people about the quality of the roadway. Funding for the project will continue next year and will amount to five billion rubles.
The Head of Bashkortostan also touched upon the topic of tourism. The government of the republic needs to work out the issue of building a hotel complex near the historical and cultural center “Shulgan-Tash”. In addition, the region is launching the “Bashkir House” program, within the framework of which it is planned to build inexpensive private houses according to standard designs from local building materials. In this case, the republic will take upon itself the issues of engineering infrastructure. The government will work out the concept of the program by April 1.
Outlining the tasks for the next year, the head of Bashkortostan emphasized that the regional authorities, first of all, will pay attention to achieving the goals of the special military operation. Separate items will be work with veterans and disabled people of the Northern Military District, as well as the development and strengthening of the economy, social sphere and improving the quality of life of people.
The year 2024 will mark the 450th anniversary of the capital of the republic. And therefore, special attention will be paid to the improvement of Ufa. Major sports, cultural and road facilities will be a real gift to the city. As part of the anniversary, many festivals, forums, concerts, competitions and exhibitions with the participation of Russian and foreign guests are planned in Ufa.
