London ∙ A centenarian couple from Kent, UK celebrated years of happy marriage. Dorothy Walter and Tim Walter of Kent celebrated 81 years of marriage in the first week of December. Dorothy said that being able to protect, love and trust each other all the time was the greatest achievement in life. After World War II the couple moved to Emstone. He lived there for 32 years doing agricultural work. Both of them have the experience of traveling all over Europe by boat. Tim and Dorothy lived in their own home until they were 100 years old. In 2022, the couple moved into a care home in Canterbury. Both have two daughters. Their world today is two grandchildren and their three children. Both of them celebrated their wedding anniversary at the care home.
