Bayern is dealing with Spanish international striker Raul de Tomas

According to consistent media reports, Bayern have stopped their search for a new striker for this change period after Mathys Tel signed. Nevertheless, Munich seems to have one or the other name on the radar for the 2023 transfer summer.

FC Bayern has been associated with numerous top stars such as Romelu Lukaku, Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane in recent months. In the end, the Munich team opted for Mathys Tel from Stade Rennes. According to Julian Nagelsmann, the 17-year-old youngster is not a one-to-one replacement for Robert Lewandowski, but should help to compensate for the departure of the Pole.

If this experiment doesn’t work, Bayern will try to find a new centre-forward by summer 2023 at the latest. In addition to Harry Kane, the Spanish international Raul de Tomas also seems to be an option for the record champions.

Raul de Tomas costs almost 40 million euros

As the Catalan newspaper “Ara” reports, FC Bayern is dealing with the 27-year-old attacker from Espanyol Barcelona. According to this, “Bayern are considering” a transfer of the striker.

De Tomas was once trained at Real Madrid when he was young but made his professional breakthrough at Rayo Vallecano. In the summer of 2019 he moved to Benfica Lisbon, but returned to Espanyol in the Spanish La Liga after just six months.

Since then, the center forward has scored 45 goals in 89 competitive games for the Catalans. There are also six templates. Last season, de Tomas had 17 goals and three assists in 34 league games.

The attacker is contractually bound to Barcelona until 2026. According to “Ara”, Espanyol would be willing to talk from a fee of 40 million euros.

One thing is clear: Bayern will not spend that much money this summer for a new offensive player. With Tel and Sadio Mane, FCB has already spent almost 60 million euros on two attackers. However, De Tomas could possibly become an issue on the Isar in the summer of 2023.
