In an official statement, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) announced the opening of an investigation to clarify what happened during the awards ceremony after the 2022 World Cup Final in Qatar.

During the statement, FIFA confirmed that the Argentine national team committed many violations of misconduct by players, aggressive behavior and violation of fair play or Article 44, consistent with the FIFA’s media and marketing regulations.
The report of the Spanish newspaper “AS” indicated that if the violation of FIFA laws was ratified and these charges were proven, the penalty for the world champion may be a large sum of money.
And the FIFA statement read: “The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has opened proceedings against the Argentine Football Association for possible violations of Articles 11 (aggressive conduct and violation of the principles of fair play) and Article 12 (improper conduct of players and officials) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, as well as Article 44 of the regulations for the Qatar World Cup 2022 in conjunction with the marketing and media regulations for the World Cup, during the Argentina match against France in the World Cup final.
It is worth noting that during the World Cup, the German national team was fined ten thousand Swiss francs for violating the provisions of Article 44 of the Qatar World Cup regulations, due to the players covering their mouths before facing Japan, and the potential fine for Albiceleste could double the amount paid by the German national team.
