Karim Benzema has returned to Real Madrid.
But only to get help with an injury, Al-Ittihad announces.

Former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, 36, left last summer for Saudi Al-Ittihad, and has since reportedly had a turbulent time. There have been reports of a rift between him and the club, as well as reports that he doesn’t like it and wants to leave. The 36-year-old has in turn firmly claimed that he enjoys the club.
So far, Benzema remains, but at the moment he is injured.
Now Al-Ittihad announce that Benzema has returned to Real Madrid temporarily to get help with his injury. He will undergo medical examinations at the Spanish club, something the parties have agreed on.
Benzema is this season noted for 13 goals and eight assists in 29 games. He has a contract with Al-Ittihad until the summer of 2026.
