BGS 2023: Lenovo announces AR glasses, notebooks and desktops from the Legion line in Brazil

In addition to confirming the arrival of the Legion Go portable console, announced first-hand by TudoCelular, Lenovo also confirmed the arrival of new products from its gamer line in Brazil, during the BGS 2023.

The list of new products includes the Legion Glasses augmented reality glasses, the new line of Lenovo LOQ notebooks, the Legion Slim 5i laptop and the Legion Tower 5i desktop. TudoCelular details each one below.

Legion Glasses

Lenovo Legion Glasses consist of the augmented reality (AR) glasses focusing on providing a large screen for gaming and content consumption. The product can be used on both the Legion Go and other compatible devices, equipped with Windows systems, Android 7 or later, macOS 8 or later – with USB-C Full Function.

The accessory provides a monitor with a micro-OLED display and a resolution of 1080 pixels per eye. It has a refresh rate of 60 Hz. There are also integrated speakers, which promise high-fidelity audio.

The glasses are accompanied by a case and other accessories such as adjustable nose supports, a structure for fitting prescription lenses, adapters that prevent slipping from the face, a microfiber cloth for cleaning and a 1.2 meter long USB-C cable.

Lenovo LOQ

The Lenovo LOQ line is inspired by the Legion brand’s premium gaming family. The notebooks here have a 15 or 16 inch screen size, 12th generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 or RTX 3050 GPUs – with MUX Switch and support for NVIDIA Advanced Optimus technology.

The machines have dual 85 mm fans, with a total TDP of 135 W. The keyboard has numeric buttons, 1.5mm key travel and 100% anti-ghosting technology.

The Lenovo LOQ has a chassis made of gray polymer (“Storm Grey”), with blue details and the brand’s logo prominently on the lid.

Legion Slim 5i

The Legion Slim 5i arrives to be the first gaming notebook in the line with chips integrated with Artificial Intelligence, in the color “Storm Grey”. It comes equipped with 13th generation Intel Core CPUs and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card.

The laptop with a 14-inch screen. The display is OLED, with a 16:10 aspect ratio and WQXGA+ resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels). The panel has 300 nits of brightness, covers 100% of sRGB colors and delivers a variable refresh rate of 165 Hz. A USB-C port was also included for charging up to 140W.

In the design, the ColdFront 5.0 thermal protection system is present to prevent overheating. The TrueStrike keyboard has been updated with backlit keys and specific “Page Up” and “Page Down” dedicated to the arrow buttons, to offer greater spacing.

Legion Tower 5i

The Legion Tower 5i consists of a 26-liter gaming desktop and is also available in “Storm Grey”. It comes with two USB-A 3.2 ports and a 3.5mm audio combo jack on the front.

Thermal sinks and fans provide power of up to 150W in a 120 mm size. They also have RGBA lighting, customizable through the Lenovo Vantage app.

Prices and availability

Each product has a different availability period. The Legion Glasses and the Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 are scheduled to be launched in national retail in mid-2024. The Legion Slim 5i is scheduled to go on sale in November 2023. Finally, the Legion Tower 5i can now be purchased, with prices ranging between R$9,999 and R$11,999.
