This week will begin the second phase of the pre-launch of Dragonflight, in which you will find yourself in the heart of the (prime) storm. It’s up to you to stop the elements from revolting throughout the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, and delve into Uldaman Dungeon: Tyr’s Legacy to recover an ancient relic from the Titans.
Primal Storms
Presentation of the event
Collect the Primeval Essence from Primal Storms and use it to get a full set of level 252 armor for your class and specialization, the Bag of Furious Wind toy, and the Primal Tormentin battle pet. During this event, you can also obtain the feat “Against the Elements” and the heirloom trinket Unstable Elemental Confluence.
Once the Primal Storms have started, check your map (default key: M) for active storms in the Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor. Powerful elemental lords are drawn to the region as the storm intensifies, imbuing the local wildlife with their power, granting them new abilities and leveling them up. Defeating these enemies with elemental powers can cause other dangers, but to get Primal Essence and weaken the protective barrier that surrounds these elemental lords, you need to keep going. Strike when their defenses are depleted, and defeat the Elemental Lords to get powerful loot and even more Primal Essence for your trouble.
Primal Displacer
Primal Essence is of interest to Stormchasers who want to know more about what is behind these strange occurrences. Find Stormchaser Suhrakka in Durotar if you’re fighting for the Horde, or Stormchaser William in Stormwind at the docks if you’re fighting for the Alliance, to get several goods in exchange for your Primal Essence, including weapons, jewelry, armor and toy Bag of Furious Wind. When the storms have calmed down and gone, you won’t be able to get any more Primal Essence, so be sure to grab everything you need from these quartermasters before then.
Take the storm with you
If you complete the Unleashed Storm event questline, you will also get the Primal Tormentin battle pet. To begin your journey, travel to Durotar (for Horde) or Stormwind Docks (for Alliance) and seek out Khadgar. The Primal Tormentine will be available during this limited-time event, so be sure to grab yours before it ends.
Brave the storm
During this event, you can obtain the “Against the Elements” feat. Available only during this event, Feat of Force requires you to defeat each of the four elemental lords in the events leading up to the release of Dragonflight. Once Azeroth is freed from the threat of the Primal Storms, it will no longer be possible to obtain this stunt.
What’s next?
By defeating more and more elemental lords and fending off the Primalists, you can find weakened primitive elements. Four of them (Earth, Fire, Storm, and Water) can be combined to create the Unstable Elemental Confluence heirloom trinket, which boosts your primary stat and has a chance to call upon primal magic to damage enemies and support your allies. Remember that you can only get Weakened Primes during Primal Storms and they will dissipate when the weather clears up.
A Titan’s Legacy

Uldaman is an ancient titan-crafted facility where, long ago, the allied forces of the heroic guardian Tyr hid the Norgannon Discs.
After returning to the Dragon Isles, Queen Alexstrasza learned that another disk was in Uldaman…a disk that contained Tyr’s own memories. Believing that these are necessary to restore the power of the Aspects, Alexstrasza has asked her mortal allied forces to brave the dangers of Uldaman to recover Tyr’s memories to secure the future of the draconic species.
A first look at Uldaman Dungeon: Tyr’s Legacy will also be available. Survive its perils and five boss battles, and you’ll receive plenty of rewards to prepare you for the launch of Dragonflight the 28 November.
