Since this Saturday noon, it is impossible to pay by credit card in certain stores. It is because of “an incident”explains the Blue Card Group to franceinfo, and not to a “cyber attack” or “a network problem”.

Supermarkets, fast-food restaurants: several brands concerned

This incident affects the payment terminals of brands which use the same technical service provider, once more according to the Groupement des Cartes Bleues. Thus, the breakdown is not widespread. On X (formerly Twitter), some users are reporting problems at Carrefour, Darty, Leroy Merlin, Auchan, and even Ikea. McDonald’s confirmed “a national breakdown” which affects brands “since noon”. The incident is being resolved.
