Bogotá: five criminals rob a bus in Caracas and beat women – Bogotá

A gang of about five members robbed an articulated bus of the TransMilenio System on Caracas Avenue and 14th Street. Not content with stealing their cell phones and cash, they beat up some female passengers in front of minors.

One of them gave her testimony. She said that everything happened on Route 8 of Guateque. When the bus stopped, several men with weapons got on, pretending to be in a fight. “They climbed through the three doors and at the height of 14th Street they began to threaten everyone with their daggers.”

The passengers were petrified with fear. They attacked many people and even knocked them to the ground. “We tried to get to the driver’s side, but he could only activate the panic button while the guys even broke windows, threw stones.”

Fortunately, the merchants in the area helped the passengers. “They even lowered the women and made them fall to the floor, they took off another’s shoes, they beat them.”

There were several children on the bus and they could only scream and cry. “Through the windows they showed us the knives and threatened us.”

TRANSMILENIO, SA contacted the user to learn first-hand about the events and provide her with the necessary collaboration. Likewise, the Managing Entity made available to the competent authorities the videographic evidence for the development of the investigation and to achieve the rapid clarification of the facts and the capture of those responsible.

The company required the concessionaire owner of the bus to provide the videos of the internal and external cameras of the vehicle and to have all the material required by the competent authorities for the development of the investigation and the necessary attention to the affected user.
