Boston 2nd in the East, Dallas to face Utah in first round

Boston finished 2nd in the Eastern Conference just behind the Miami Heat. The Celtics could cross swords with the Brooklyn Nets, their best enemy, in the play-offs. The New York franchise is gaining momentum at the end of the season. Carried by Kyrie Irving’s 35 points, Steve Nash’s players got rid of Indiana and are the first play-offs (134-126) and will find the Cleveland Cavaliers to face the 2nd from the East. The other play-in will see the Hawks take on the Hornets. In the other posters of play-offs in the East: Philadelphia will have the home advantage against Toronto and Milwaukee will have to overcome Chicago. In the West, Dallas will face Utah while the Warriors face Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. The play-off will pit the Los Angeles Clippers against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the San Antonio Spurs against the New Orleans Pelicans. The two qualifiers will find Memphis or Phoenix in the first round.
