Breaking the Midday Heat: 96 Companies Violating UAE Labor Laws Revealed

Dubai: 96 companies violated the midday break rule announced by the UAE Ministry of Labor to give relief to outside workers from the intense heat. 1,13,000 sites were checked and 96 companies were found to have violated the law.

This was revealed by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources. The midday break rule was announced in the UAE for three months from June 15 to September 15. The law was withdrawn on the 15th. It was suggested that employees working in the sun should be allowed rest from 12.30 pm to 3 pm.

The Ministry of Labor said that it would like to thank the private companies and the public for their sincere efforts to ensure the safety of their employees. Midday break has been implemented in the UAE for the past 19 years. Violation of the law will result in a fine of 5,000 to 50,000 dirhams.
