Brendon McCullum appointed England Test coach As the official announcement

Former New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum has been appointed coach of the England Test cricket team. McCullum’s term is 4 years. McCullum, the coach of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, will retire at the end of the season.

McCullum has played 101 Tests for New Zealand. He is the only New Zealander to score a Test triple century.

Coach Chris Silverwood has been replaced following a string of recent performances by the England cricket team, including the Ashes. McCullum replaces him.

Ben Stokes was appointed captain of the team. The England and Wales Cricket Board has officially announced this. Ben Stokes will replace the departed Joe Root as England’s new captain. Following the resignation of Joe Root, there were reports that vice-captain Ben Stokes would be the captain.
