Bühler invests more than CHF 10 million at its Uzwil site

The St. Gallen group Bühler has announced an investment of more than 10 million francs in a new technology center at its headquarters in Uzwil. The latter is to replace the current installation dating from the 1950s, which has become obsolete.

The St. Gallen food machinery manufacturer will develop, test and scale ‘sustainable and efficient solutions for the processing of cereals and animal feed’ there, from raw materials to finished products, says the supplier St. Gallen Monday in a press release.

The new facilities, whose commissioning is scheduled for 2024, will include, among other things, a fully integrated cleaning and grinding process for all cereals, a complete grinding process for all types of compound feed as well as a research and development.
