A fire broke out this Thursday evening shortly following 6 p.m. in a building on rue Pierreuse, n°63 in Liège. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a ground floor completely engulfed in flames with flames coming out of the facade.

They evacuated a person trapped on the second floor using the large ladder and another person on the first floor via the stairs. These two people were transported by ambulance to the Citadelle in Liège.

The fire spread to the neighboring house, at no. 61 rue Pierreuse, but there were no injuries there. According to the Liège police, the fire was caused by a candle. The damage is significant.
