The second edition of the Bulles d’Océan festival concluded at the Belambra club in Guidel-Plages, Morbihan, on November 8, 2026.
Bringing together thirty-two illustrators and authors from across France, the event transitioned from a celebration of the ninth art to a platform for social action, launching a collaborative initiative to combat school bullying through a new comic book project.
The project aims to produce a 48-page album featuring contributions from 48 different authors. The initiative was born from a discussion between Stéphane Tessier of the organizing association, Océan Art Grafik, and Yannick Rummler, who leads the Morbihan section of the biker group Ar Chach Diwal.
This group works as volunteers in schools to provide prevention education regarding bullying and cyberbullying. Following the suggestion of Tessier, comic book writer Pascal Bresson helped mobilize support among the festival’s participants. Eleven authors present at the event have already committed to the project, which organizers hope to publish before the summer of 2027.
Car nous pouvons tous être concernés par cette violence répétée, en tant que parents ou grands-parents,
said Pascal Bresson regarding the importance of the collective effort.
The organizers intend to feature a cover by renowned author and motorcycle enthusiast Frank Margerin to provide a strong visual identity for the work. The finished album is intended to serve as an educational tool to support the prevention work conducted by Ar Chach Diwal and will be showcased at the next installment of the Bulles d’Océan festival.
Beyond the new book project, the festival maintained its tradition of solidarity; profits from this year’s edition, after organizational costs, are to be donated to the association Rêves de clown, which supports hospitalized children and adults in the region through the intervention of professional clowns.
