WHAT EVIDENCE DOES CHILE BRING TO THE NEW AUDIENCE?

According to information from CNN, the National Association of Professional Football (ANFP), through its lawyer Eduardo Carlezzo, will bring to the hearing an “unpublished audio” about an alleged confession by the player that he is not Ecuadorian.

“We brought to the attention of FIFA an unpublished audio that had never been published before, since, until Monday, only the Ecuadorian Federation had it. The authenticity of the audio is indisputable and the player’s confession is clear. The content of that audio was hidden for more than 4 years,” the lawyer told CNN via email Thursday before the hearing.

WHAT DOES CHILE CLAIM?

The National Association of Professional Soccer (ANFP) went to the desks of FIFA pointing out that Byron Castillo was not born in Ecuador, but in Colombia, and that he had falsified his identity documents. From the southern country they demand a sanction for the player and for the ‘Tri’, which could precisely be left out of the World Cup.

Of course, it is worth mentioning that in the first instance FIFA rejected Chile’s request and replied that it did not find any changes in the case.
