Jakarta — Tragedy struck Cimanggu Village in the cibungbulang District of Bogor Regency on Sunday morning, January 19, 2025, when a minibus veered off a cliff and crashed into a residential home. The accident claimed the life of a 67-year-old woman identified by her initials, RI, who was sitting on her terrace at the time.
According to Ipda Ferdhyan Mulya, Head of the Gakkum Satlantas Bogor Police, the incident occurred around 11:00 AM local time. “That’s right, it happened at around 11.00 WIB. One person died, a woman who was sitting in front of the house, initials RI (67),” he stated.The vehicle, identified as a Grand Max with license plate B-203-PL, had been traveling from a narrow alley onto a village road when it lost control and plummeted off the cliff, landing on the house below.
“When we arrived at the crime scene,the car moved straight,fell into a resident’s house wich was approximately 2 meters away from the road,” Ferdhyan explained. The impact caused the car to roll over, striking RI, who was on her terrace. “Then it rolled over the house and a woman (RI) who was in front of her house, resulting in a traffic accident,” he added.
Despite being rushed to Leuwiliang regional Hospital,RI succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival. “The victim suffered injuries, then died at Leuwiliang Regional Hospital,” Ferdhyan confirmed.
