Be careful when outing in the wild! A 4-year-old British girl recently traveled to Delamere Forest in Cheshire with her family. However, she encountered Giant Hogweed, “Britain’s most dangerous plant”, and her sap penetrated her trousers and left her inside. Both feet were left with burn injuries and black blisters. What makes the girl’s parents even more heartbroken is that doctors predict that the scars will never fade.

According to the “Mirror” report, the girl Aurora Waters complained to her parents about pain in her feet during a visit, but her family thought it was just “tired from walking.” It was not until she went to the toilet that her mother discovered that her feet were long. Huge blisters. The next day, her parents saw that the wound had worsened and rushed her to the hospital. However, Aurora’s injuries were so severe that she was quickly transferred to the burn department of the Children’s Hospital.

The doctor told Aurora’s parents that the child’s injuries were “between boiling water and fire burns”, and said that it was caused by contact with the juice of giant ragweed, which made the mother shudder. “If my daughter had not worn pants that day, But she usually wears shorts, so the injury must be more serious.” The father felt sorry for his daughter who used to be very active, but after the physical and mental trauma of burns and black blisters, whenever she saw a plant, she would ask: “Is this a big ragweed? ” And their daughter was judged to be scarred for life, which made them even more heartbroken.

The Forestry Service of England said that giant ragweed had never been found in Delamere Forest before, and that the girl received emergency treatment and was advised to seek medical treatment on the day of the incident. Warning signs will be placed in areas where there are large ragweeds, and if they appear in crowded areas, they will be moved as soon as possible. The Forestry Bureau also called on the public to report as soon as possible any discovery of giant ragweed that is an exotic species and is growing out of control.
