Vega Terra recalled that the CBC, with 93,000 students and 26 locations, both its own and contracted, is operating with “the same budget as in January 2023”. “We have exactly the same money,” he insisted in dialogue with Radio Splendid.

“We don’t have the money, we can’t fix anything. This degrades the conditions of students and teachers who come to work and study. In October, November and December an increase was achieved, but the Government did not recognize the increase that there was in 2023, but rather said that it should start with the 2023 budget. Then it said that it was going to give a nominal 70% increase from March , so it is not a 70% increase, because they ate two months. It is an increase of 56% with an inflationary increase that is around 300%. Nothing can work this way,” he noted.

Vega Terra explained that the budget, which amounts to “approximately 70 million pesos,” is mainly allocated to building maintenance, elevators, insurance, cleaning services, security, minor repairs. building, equipment and office supplies.
