CCIAM: a decree setting the mode of operation

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Mauritania (CCIAM) should be able to play more of its role as an interface between the public authorities and the private sector, thanks to a new draft decree adopted during the weekly meeting of the government dated Wednesday April 18, 2023.
This text “aims to set the rules for the organization, management and operation of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Mauritania and to provide it with all the means necessary to ensure the success of the missions which are assigned to him.
This decree comes a few weeks following the election of Cheikh El Avia ould Mohamed Khouna, former Prime Minister under the regime of Maaouya ould Sid’Ahmed Taya, at the head of the institution.
