Thenmala (Kollam): A lorry carrying cement to Kerala plunged into a 50 feet deep river and the driver died. The accident took place at 4.45 pm on Wednesday at Thenmala Thirteen Kannara. The lorry driver was identified as Satheeshmon (33) of Satheesh Bhavan, Arukannankuzhi, Ilanchiyam swamp, Thiruvananthapuram.
The lorry driven by Satheesh crashed into the oncoming tipper and crashed into the river. Satheesh was found 20 minutes after the lorry overturned.
Satheesh was lying at the bottom of the lorry’s cabin. The front of the lorry was about half flooded. Led by Thenmala Inspector K Shyam and SI Subin Thankachan, the police reached the spot and took action.
