Champions League: Naples, Bayern and Bruges in the round of 16 – rts.ch

Three clubs won their ticket to the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday. These are Napoli (group A), Brugge (B) and Bayern Munich (C).

In Group A, Naples lined up a 4th success by beating Ajax Amsterdam 4-2. The Serie A leader, who is playing at an excellent level this fall, got off to a flying start by scoring through Lozano (4th) and Raspadori (16th).

Ajax, spanked 6-1 at home a week ago, reacted by Klaasen (49th) before Kvaratskhelia (62nd / penalty) gave the Neapolitans some air. Despite the 3-2 signed Bergwijn (83rd / penalty), the Italian victory was not in question, especially after the success of Osimhen (90th).

Liverpool were somewhat reassured in the British derby against Rangers. In Glasgow, the Reds won… 7-1 after conceding the first goal. A double from Firmino (24th/55th), a success from Nunez (66th), a hat-trick from Salah (75th/80th/81st) and a goal from Elliott (87th) brought the English closer to qualification. They have 9 points, against 3 for Ajax.

Formality for Bayern

Bayern continued their flawless performance in Group C. The Bavarians had no problem going to win 4-2 on the lawn of Viktoria Plzen. Mané (10th), Müller (14th) and Goretzka (26th/35th) quickly made the difference.

Club Brugge, in Group B, also secured their passage to the round of 16. The Belgians, who had won their first 3 matches, took the necessary point by going to defeat Atlético Madrid (0-0) at home.

Porto took an option on 2nd place by winning 3-0 at Leverkusen. The Portuguese have 6 points, against 4 at Atlético.
