Chef Juna and Chef Davin Holywings are fighting sarcasm via their respective Instagrams. Chef Davin doesn’t seem to accept that his food is criticized by Chef Juna.
Through an IG story, Chef Juna commented on the taste of the food he ordered at Holywings. According to one of the judges at MasterChef Indonesia, the taste of the food he ordered was disappointing. He also then uploaded a sentence that seemed to be a satire for Chef Davin who made food at Holywings.
Chef Juna uploaded a photo of the Holywings packaging and wrote the words ‘Dissapointed (disappointing)’. It is also written that the menu ordered is Spicy Korean Cheese. “Then again, it’s not a real restaurant,” continued Chef Juna.

In the follow-up story, he pours a long sentence that seems to be aimed at Chef Davin.
“Don’t worry, if you don’t do anything wrong, there’s no need for clarification, let alone talking in front of the camera. I’ve never made any clarifications in my life, I’ve always tried to avoid being interviewed by the camera. Point is if you can’t take the heat, get off from the kitchen,” wrote Chef Juna on his Instagram story (14/3).
It seems that this has angered Davin who is the chef at Holywings. Not to be outdone, Chef Davin also uploaded several Instagram stories that were satirical Chef Juna.
“To the chef who looks at people with nostrils. If those over there usually ‘cheat’ the contestants’ food, I ‘cheek’ because it tastes good with the style. I give unclear comments, the response is even louder! Who are you? The best chef in the world? Sorry -I’m sorry, my food has been selling well so far, and it’s arguably the best-selling one. Want me to give you the data? And until now it’s still fine. How about you? Oops, sorry, there’s none, huh? Come here again to the outlet! I’ll cook it straight for you! I’ll cover your mouth with my cooking!” explained Chef Davin while showing a video of himself slapping food.

The sarcasm of the two chefs seems to have caught the attention of netizens. Many regretted Chef Davin’s attitude which seemed not to accept criticism and input.
From this satire, many netizens defended Chef Juna. But not a few also guess that this is just a marketing strategy. Through his Instagram, Chef Davin also clarified.
“This is what I want to disclaim first. It’s not that I don’t accept comments on my food. Yes, I really appreciate him commenting on my food. In fact, he’s not the first person to comment on my food. , how in the future it must be better. But how about it, honestly, I respect him, because he is older and has spent more time in the culinary field,” said Chef Davin in his video (15/3).
He also showed some netizen comments defending Chef Juna.
“Basically, I didn’t mean to make this hotter. So please Indonesian netizens. Don’t heat it up. There have been a lot of criticism and criticism from me, I have often started my career as a chef,” continued Chef Davin.

Netizens didn’t want to lose either, they also filled the comments column, especially after this sarcasm was uploaded to the @lambe_turah account.
“Why are men insinuating on social media,” said a netizen.
“Marketing, want to cook holy wings later,” said another netizen.
“Holywings isn’t really a restaurant. It’s a clubbing place. Food is just a side dish, the main thing is liquor and loud music. So it’s no wonder that the food doesn’t taste good/standard. So, holywings chef don’t get excited. Because your standards are still far from the finalists of MCI (MasterChef Indonesia) ,” concluded the netizen.
DetikFood has tried to contact Chef Juna to confirm (15/3) but so far have not received an answer.
